Sinomenine is widely used in a variety of rheumatic diseases, but more and more attention has been paid to the adverse reaction in allergic reactions, digestive tract, blood, circulatory and nervous system. The application of sinomenine in rheumatoid diseases and its side effects were reviewed, which may provide a reference for the safe and effective application of sinomenine preparations.
Efficacy of blood-letting puncture and cupping in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder: a systematic review

Abstract

Objective: To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of blood-letting puncture and cupping in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder. Methods: We electronically searched databases including CNKI, VIP, PubMed, WanFang Data, EMbase Cochrane Library and to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and quasi-randomized controlled trials about blood-letting puncture and cupping for periarthritis of shoulder and evaluated the quality of the documents collected by the Cochrane collaboration, provided by Review Manager 5 software for statistical analysis. Then the quality of the included trials was assessed using the Jadad scale and GRADE system was used to score the quality and grade recommendation. Results: Thirty RCTs involving 2556 patients were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that: Total effective rate OR = 6.21 [OR = 6.21, 95%CI (4.69, 8.21), P < 0.001]. The results of GRADE system evaluation showed that the level of evidence was B, and the recommendation level was weak recommendation. Conclusion: Blood-letting puncture and cupping shows better effects than other treatments and preferably security in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder. We do not find any serious adverse reaction reports. Due to limited quality of the included studies, more high quality studies are needed to verify the above conclusion.

Abstract

Being overweight and obese impacts health due to adiposity itself and illnesses it incurs, which produces individual and societal financial burdens. This urges effective interventions, including adjunct therapies. Acupuncture, a traditional Chinese medical practice, indicates positive signs for tackling these problems. Investigating 101 empirical human-based projects, this narrative review analyses their outcomes and then provides an overview of the effects of acupuncture in body weight reduction and obesity-induced diseases, either performed alone or with other approaches. It involves 15941 participants from 9-80 years old in mainland China, Taiwan, Turkey, Brazil, Egypt, Iran, Greece, Korea, Sudan, Thailand, and the USA. It also reveals practical implications and future research directions, benefiting the development of acupuncture in the modern medical arena for both patients and practitioners.

Effect of the Tiaobufeishen decoction on Caveolin-1-p38 MAPK signaling pathway and mechanism of improving the tracheobronchomalacia in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract

Objective: Reliving the relationship of the Caveolin-1-p38 MAPK signaling pathway and COPD tracheobronchomalacia, and research the mechanism of Tiaobufeishen decoction improve the regression of the weasand cartilage cells.Methods Flow cytometry was used to analyze the apoptosis rate to determine the optimal concentration of Tiaobufeishen decoction and CSE, CCK8 assay was used to determine the optimal concentration of P38-MAPK specific inhibitor. The COPD cell model was created by tracheal chondrocyte which dispose by optimal concentration CSE, then add the IL-1β set up the chondrocyte degeneration model, use the method of toluidine blue staining and immunohistochemical authenticate degeneration of cartilage. This research included control group, model group, model-Tiaobufeishen group, model-blocker group. When the model was set up succeed, add the Tiaobufeishen decoction and P38-MAPK blocker in the model-Tiaobufeishen and model-blocker groups, respectively. Western Blot was used to detect the expression of caveolin-1 and p-p38 in the chondrocyte. RT-PCR was used to detect the expression of MMP3 and caveolin-1 in the matrix.Results The cell activity was not influence by the concentration of Tiaobufeishen decoction and blocker, the concentration of the CSE model was moderation. Compared with control group, the level of caveolin-1, p38MAPK, MMP3 in the model group was significant increase, moreover, the result of toluidine blue staining and immunohistochemical methods show that the chondrocyte has obvious regression. The expression of caveolin-1, p38MAPK, and MMP3 have significant decrease than the control group, and the reduction of chondrocyte degeneration.Conclusion The caveolin-1-p38MAPK signaling pathway play an important role in the morbidity of the tracheobronchomalacia. Tiaobufeishen decoction could decrease the expression of the caveolin-1, p-p38, MMP3, inhibit the activation of the caveolin-1-p38MAPK signaling pathway, therefore, it can improve the tracheobronchomalacia.

Pelvic inflammatory disease refers to a group of female genital tract on infectious disease, mainly including endometritis, tubal phlogistic, oviduct ovarian abscess, if not timely treatment of the disease is easy to become chronic, now called pelvic inflammatory disease sequelae, clinical manifestations in chronic pelvic pain, recurrent pelvic inflammatory disease, affect women's physical and mental health. TCM nursing based on the basic theory of TCM, apply the overall view, the nursing method of syndrome differentiation, the traditional Chinese medicine nursing technique is widely used in the disease, such as traditional Chinese medicine enema, Chinese medicine external treatment, moxibustion, ear acupuncture point buries a seed, methods of modern nursing, has the characteristics of simple and cheap effect, can reduce the swelling fights, promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, relieve the pelvic congestion, promote drainage in abdominal and pelvic cavity and the absorption of bag piece, adjust the viscera function, obvious effect and has unique advantages, further prove the uniqueness of TCM nursing and safety, provide the basis for clinical treatment.

Abstract

Adenomyosis (AD) refers to the endometrium (including glands and stroma) into myometrium growth of pathological changes, with the delay of women's childbearing age, the patients with AD-associated infertility increased significantly. Although scholars disagreed about the effect of AD on infertility, more and more evidence showed that AD was closely related to the structural and functional defects of the eutopic endometrium and myometrial junctional zone (MJZ), which may lead to embryo implantation failure and infertility. With the rapid development of imaging technology, the accuracy of diagnose AD has been enhanced, more and more infertility patients were diagnosed with AD. At the same time, a series of pathogenic hypothesis have been proposed to explain the relationship between AD. In addition, AD may influence the patient’s reproductive function by affecting sperm transport, embryo implantation, altering uterine peristalsis, influencing the structure and function of endometrium, and changing the intrauterine environment. At present, the treatment of AD-associated infertility is similar to the treatment of AD. The commonly used treatment methods include drug therapy, conservative operative treatment, drug combination surgery, and Chinese medicine treatment and so on. The clinical and experimental studies of AD complicated with infertility and its possible pathogenesis and treatment in recent years are reviewed in this article.

We have applied X-shaped balance acupuncture therapy in the clinic to treat local pain such as neck, shoulder, back and leg pain, and achieved good results. Most pain disorders are effective and lasting.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal diseases such as neck, shoulder, back and leg pain are extremely common in clinic. Diseases of the joints of the extremities, especially sputum, wrist sprains, and periarthritis of the shoulders, and even lumbar disc herniation, use X-shaped balance acupuncture therapy to relieve pain and improve motor function. The method of obtaining acupoints is simple and easy to operate. Many of clinical comparison shows that this therapy is simple to conventional acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of local pain and joint diseases. This review concluded the advantaged about the X-shaped balance acupuncture therapy and it worth to clinical promotion.
