Age-related changes of senescence-accelerated mouse prone 10 (SAMP10) mice as an animal model for AD

Background: To explore the influence of age-related changes in learning and memory capacity of SAMP10, an Alzheimer's disease (AD) model mice, and provide theoretical foundation for the selection of month age in related experiment. Methods: SAMP10 female mice with the age of 3, 6 and 9 months were used as the objects of experiment, while the age-matched female SAMR1 were used as the controls, with 12 in each group. The learning memory capacity of mice at different age was detected through Morris water maze and step-down passive avoidance test; meanwhile, the acetylcholine, acetylcholinesterase, choline acetyltransferase, and M-cholinergic receptor binding capacity levels were determined to detect the cholinergic system damage degree in mice with different month age. In addition, the contents of monoamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenyl acetic acid, homovanillic acid, norepinephrine and 5-HT, as well as those of amino acid transmitters such as glutamic acid, glutamine, aspartic acid, γ-aminobutyric acid, taurine and glycine in the brain cortex were detected by high performance liquid chromatography-electrochemical deposition. Besides, changes in hippocampal neurons were observed through Nissl staining, and the changes of Aβ in hippocampal CA1 and CA2 regions of SAMP10 were also detected by immunohistochemistry so as to explore the effects of age on the memory capacity of SAMP10. Results: It was discovered in the behavior test and AD-related index tests that: there was no significant difference between the age-matched SAMR1 and the SAMP10 at the age of 3 and 6 months. But the 9-months-old mice suffered remarkable senescence characteristics, including obviously declined learning memory capacity; down-regulated neurotransmitter levels, enzyme activities and amino acid expression; reduced hippocampal neuron number; and increased deposition of hippocampal Aβ protein. Conclusion: It is discovered in this study through behavior tests and AD-related indexs detection that, the learning memory capacity of SAMP10 shows age-dependence, which is gradually decreased with the increase of age, and the 9-months-old mice have developed marked memory impairment and senescence characteristics. SAMP10 is the recognized AD model, the appropriate month age for preventive medication is about 7 months, while that for therapeutic medication is 8-9 months.

A case report about a new frequency-code therapy of type 2 diabetes for 12 days

The mainstay of type 2 diabetes treatment used to be blood glucose control in order to prevent or delay the development of various diabetic complications. On September 1, 2018, one of our patients was diagnosed with several serious illnesses: type 2 diabetes, 3 degrees of obesity, arterial hypertension, peripheral vascular atherosclerosis of the lower extremities with swelling of the shins and feet, fatty hepatosis and metabolic syndrome since June 2019. The patient was restricted in movement due to excessive body weight, shortness of breath and joint pain. Conventional medical methods did not work well for him, so the prognosis is very poor. In this case, we used a new frequency-code therapy which could transmit the signal into the patient's brain by the method of frequency code influence to cure diabetes and associated diseases, restore the patient's body and improve his living quality. According to our forecasts in September 2018 the treatment of acquired diseases and the restoration of the patient's body to a viable level, with the help of our technology, may take more a year. Carrying out step-by-step noninvasive treatment by the method of frequency-code influence on the patient's brain we received positive results at each stage of treatment which together gave a complex positive result in ridding the patient of acquired diseases and restoring his body to the level of active life-activity without restrictions. Now the patient does not follow a diet and enjoys physical activity. No side effects were observed. The human body is unique, even in adulthood, the protective functions of the body are able to defeat the most complex diseases without damage to the body. To do this need to activate the "sleeping protective mechanism" of the body or translate the "healthy memory of the brain" in the period of active resistance to premature age-related diseases.

Microvesicles, also called microparticles, are membranous vesicles released from the cell membrane surface or by exocytose. Almost any type of cells can secrete vesicles, especially stem cells. Recent years, stem cells are becoming a research hotspot of cytotherapy for their capacity of self-renewing, expansion and proliferation in vitro and the microvesicles derived from the conditioned medium of stem cells have been widely used to regenerative medicine because they are safer, easily obtained, measurable and cause no obvious immune rejection. Stem cells derived microvesicles have been confirmed to be closely related to the progress and treatment of atherosclerosis, diabetes, inflammation and tumor. This review focuses on the new progress of stem cells derived microvesicles treating various nervous system diseases and its application in biological therapy and the behind molecule mechanisms.

In recent years, prostate cancer has been known to have an increasing incidence worldwide. In 2012, prostate cancer was recognized as the second most frequent cancer to occur in men and fifth leading cause of cancer mortality in men. It is known to affect one of every eight men in the world, and even more common in men above the age of 65. However, the long-term survival rate for an average cancer patient continues to decline, creating a need for therapies that could enhance survival rate with favorable advantages. With the minimal side effects and toxicity of the new treatments, it is obvious that these new treatments are the way forward in fighting cancer. This review elaborates the new therapy for prostate cancer treatment that has been developed in very recent times. The goal is not only to create awareness of these new treatments but also gives patients as well as doctors more treatment options. This review builds a foundation on the knowledge of cancer, importantly cancer immunology, and also forms groundwork majorly on prostate cancer, focusing on the mechanism of how immunotherapy could be a better choice over the previously common prostate cancer treatments, proposing a perspective on future directions in the treatment of prostate cancer.

Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor in women. Because of the clearing of axillary lymph nodes and the radiotherapy of lymph node region, lymphatic dysfunction occurs and lymphatic fluid retards in the interstitial space. These will lead to a series of pathological changes, such as tissue edema, chronic inflammation, tissue fibrosis and fatty fibrosis. Lymphedema is a chronic disease with the feature of slow progression and is currently incurable. The timely treatment and proper care can alleviate the symptoms and improve the quality of life. The internal and external treatment of Chinese medicine intervention is beneficial for upper limb lymphedema, and the purpose of this research is to share our clinical experiences.

For thousands of years, we've used many tools to extend life span, and today, new technologies and medical treatments have extended the average human lifespan by about two years in a decade. The incidence of heart disease, tumors and degenerative diseases increases with age. Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the use of herbs or guidance techniques can improve blood circulation, increase heart function, delay aging and prevent the development of tumors.
